If you use OpenOffice.org, you might want to check out LibreOffice. It is from the original designers of OpenOffice.org who left when Oracle bought Sun Microsystems (which owned OO). It is very similar, and more importantly, it will not be controlled by Oracle, who has a very bad reputation of ruining open source projects that they buy from other companies.
I'll check it out. Thanks, Mike.
Hm. I don't use Open Office anymore, but I might check it out anyway.
I use to use Microsoft Works, but after a couple of app crashes that lost me some writing, I switched to OO. I like OO, but Libre opens the same documents without fear of Oracle stripping it down.
For those who use other doc sweets, Libre (like OO) opens practically any document type.
